Prayer Leads to a Love Connection
Did it ever occur to you that prayer can lead to a genuine “love connection” with God?
Communication is a key ingredient of a close relationship and prayer is simply a form of communication with God.
Now this is the point where some people will say that they don’t know how to pray.
No problem!
God is so wise that He made sure that we always have someone (the Holy Spirit) to translate what is on our heart, so that we never have to worry about knowing what to pray for or misunderstandings due to communication issues.
Romans 8:26-27 says, “…the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
In fact, Romans 8:31-35 points out that our risen Lord, Jesus Christ, also makes intercession for us. This scripture reminds us that God is willing to freely give us all things and that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
As a member of God’s family, with both the Holy Spirit and Jesus praying for you, don’t let anything stop you from taking time each day to pray and talk to God.
And remember, “the family that prays together stays together”. So pray and stay connected to God.
